Sammi Maria is the white label brand by popular British YouTuber, Samantha Maria. Together we created a brand that focuses on current trends, high fashion designs, and a hint of nostalgia. Each collection focuses on a different city, reminiscent of Sammi’s personal travels, and the inspiration she gathered here for both her content and product-based brand.
Ibiza. There is something about this place for me. It’s famous for its loud, hedonistic pulse but it’s the understated parts of the island that I’m truly drawn to the care-free and whimsical nature of this enchanting place. I have so many amazing memories from Ibiza and the stories that I hold are filled with laughter, light, and love. It felt so right that my next collection was inspired by a place that has bought me so much joy. This collection is the essence of freedom and takes inspiration from the organic shapes and textures I’ve discovered whilst exploring the island – Emulating the curve of an entrance to a cave or the texture of the eroded rocks and rugged sun-bleached walls. It is the perfect embodiment of my magnetic love for Ibiza.
I’m a born & bred London girl so this collection is close to my heart. The first thing I thought about when designing was, let’s go right back to what I fell in love with about the city. When I was younger I would go to Camden Market every weekend to rummage through vintage shops and nose my way around countless jewellery stands looking for the perfect trinket. But I needed the collection to also reflect my current, multi-faceted lifestyle just as much. I created pieces that are evocative of a treasured family heirloom but with a polished, refined feel. My modern take on a classic, heritage jewellery style.
I wanted to create a capsule of timeless treasures that felt ‘borrowed’ from the ultimate Parisian cool-girl. What I’ve always admired about Parisians is their flair for wearing something in an effortless yet elegant way & I have always tried to adopt this in my personal daily style. So this collection is my take on the perfectly unique & well-balanced jewellery that the chic, modern, yet nonchalant woman strolling down Le Marais would be wearing. That simple but unforgettable jewel that gets everyone around the dinner table talking.
The place where my spirit feels at home. Vibrant, diverse & alive, every time I leave I bring a piece of it back with me in the form of inspiration. My NY pieces are influenced by the industrial design, innovation, and boldness of the city. With an echo of the 90’s Hip-Hop culture, I grew up with from afar, which shaped my first musical tastes and part of my sense of personal style. I wanted to include a mixture of textures within clean & minimal shapes. This collection gives a touch of ‘off-duty model’ for every day or equally a finishing of paired-back allure, for your night downtown.
